Mutation Drift - Human
Description
Every time a cell copies its DNA, there is a small chance of error. These errors — mutations — are not flaws in the system. They are a feature of it. Mutation is the raw material of natural selection, providing the steady stream of individual variation that drives evolution.
This piece begins with a sentence, replicated over and over. With each generation, characters have a small probability of changing at random. Here, the mutation rate is modest — errors accumulate slowly, as they do in our own genome, preserving stability across generations.
Stability for the complex. Errors are a feature of life, not a bug.
